UGC NET Syllabus 2020: National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date of submission of UGC NET application form on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Now, the last date for the submission of UGC NET application form is extended up to 15th June 2020.

UGC NET Syllabus 2020: Paper 1 & Paper 2 (Check Subject Wise Syllabus)

NTA will conduct UGC NET June 2020 Exam in various subjects at selected Examination Centers spread across the country for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Assistant Professor only. The exam would be conducted in a single session with no break between Paper 1 & Paper 2.

The foremost step for the preparation of the NET exam is to be completely aware of the UGC NET syllabus. The NTA UGC NET 2020 exam will consist of two papers. UGC NET Paper 1 will be common for all the aspirants. UGC NET Paper 2 will be subject-specific (For e.g. If a candidate opts for Electronic Science, he/she will attempt the questions from Electronics Engineering).

Syllabus for UGC NET 2020 Paper 1 and Paper 2 varies and are designed to test different skills of the candidates. A brief about both the papers are:

UGC NET Syllabus Paper 1 2020

The Paper 1 of UGC NET exam will comprise of 50 questions. One hour will be provided to attempt this section. The syllabus of this paper includes 10 different sections. The weightage of each section is the same, i.e. 5 Questions (5*2=10 marks) from each section (as per the previous trend).

UGC NET Syllabus Paper 2 2020

Paper 2 of UGC NET exam will be based on the subject selected by the candidate. The candidate can choose any one of the 81 subjects. This paper will comprise 100 questions of 2 marks each. All questions will be compulsory. The paper would cover the entire syllabus (including all electives, without any options). The syllabus of all the NET subjects can be downloaded from the official UGC website.
