Please tell me.
what is the cutoff for jharkhand’s ssc MTS examination
Hi akriti mam, this is Tenyson singja from assam…mam, there z a small doubt…you n your team have categorised the cut offs for various states for the northeastern region but mam, the candidates are going to be selected only on the basis of entire northeastern region..then mam, why dont (if you can) prepare the expected cut off together for the entire northeastern region as the candidates are goin to b selected on the basis of northeastern region..so, mam I dnt unerstand the logic behind preparing cut offs for individual states…n mam, one more, when can We expect the result for SSC MTS n how We r going to be notified for that??
how do all know the marks before publishing the answer key

Hi Amitesh,
See first of all I insist, don’t worry so much. Focus on the next stage.
Now lets talk about the cutoff –
Odisha has 74 vacancies in all , out of which only 6 are reserved for ST category. Also, out of the number of applicants, many belong to ST category specifically in Odisha. Hence the low cutoff. I hope its clear now.
All the best.
Mam i am from eastern region i scored 87 belong to st category is there possibility to appear stage 2, and according to your prediction cut off for odisha it is 49…but more than 10 lakhs aspirants appeared how it could be possible with this lower cut off…plz clarify me …thanks
Ok. I also told that if cut off goes low for that state than my obtained score then I will get a chance for part 2. Right?
See that’ll depend on the decided cutoff of that other state ?
Have you filled in more states as well ?
Yes please do.
If you’ve filled all the states, sure.
Yes.
Though other factors will weigh in too.
I am getting 104+ …my category is general…can I get selection in CR regions.. Plzzz tell me…..
AKRITI MAM, I have a final query, Suppose I got 86 for PART-1 as a
OBC candidate from WEST BENGAL (Eastern region) and PART-1 cut off for WEST BENGAL OBC goes to 90 then may I get chance to give PART2 for another state ( which are in my preference list) where cut off for PART-1 is less then my score 85 ? Please reply for it.
YA, AKRITI MAM, , I got it now. But part 2 is qualifying in nature and it can be cracked easily if some effort are given, So I think most of the selection process done by clearing part 1. Thanks for your feedback.
Mam I am getting 75 and I am for obc cat and I have opted for all states may I be qualified for paper 1 in any states
Can I start paper II preperatio??
Akriti mam I obtain 95 marks in Maharashtra. And I belong to sc category. Is there any chance for me to the next round.
mam i am getting 111 ur,
,eastern region,,,,is there any chance?
Sourav, to clear my doubt, I made a call to one of the officials at DoPT. The thing is that , at the time of application, you were to fill your state of preference as indicated by the screenshot shared by you. Now scoring good marks in Paper I will NOT determine your selection to a state of your choice. That will depend on 2 major factors –
1. Your performance in the language paper. Without passing that the candidature of an aspirant for a xyz state will be out rightly rejected.
2. The number of vacancies (category wise) per state.
Now most of the aspirants fill in the states in the same region they apply. However this is not a prerequisite. This was my concern.
So to answer your initial question, whether you’ll be allotted your preferred state only in regards to your marks, No.
I hope your doubt is clear now.
P.S: Thank you for pointing out earlier. At Mockbank, we try our best to get relevant information across. But in the rare case of non-relevance, we feel no shame in apologizing. Best wishes for your result.
Thank you for the screenshot. Let me get back to on this.

AKRITI MAM, PLEASE CHECK ROW NO 17
Any update on the revised answer key ?
You’ll have to elaborate on this Sourav. I’m yet to confirm this. See as per last year’s norms, you were not allowed. But if SSC has changed it this year, I’ll have to check. Send me the link. I’d like to be 100% sure.
SSC fixes cutoffs region wise which depends on the number of applicants per region. So getting candidates posted in states of other regions makes absolutely no sense. That is why I want to check.
I get a feeling that the states you referring to fall in the same region you applied for. So kindly confirm.
Good
AKRITI mam, Sorry to say you that this time We already gave preference of all state when we applied for “ssc mts 2017”. Then what’s the use of that preference if no use of it for selection?
No Sourav
No Sourav. No matter how good your score is, you will be eligible for your region only.
AKRITI mam, I got 85.5 from eastern region. OBC candidate. Is there any chance in other state according to my given preference of state?
Mam, it means a candidate can get chance for different state?
As per our criteria Jagdeep
I’ll have to check and confirm Vikal.
How did your exam go Shah ?
Hi Sourav.
The cutoffs will be issued state wise on the exact same lines like the CHSL exam.
Good news for j&k aspirants…
Ist answer key published is not authentic as most of the questions in G.s and english language are wrong so wait for official key only
Last time in 2014 it was 86 to the descriptive test( paper 2) but this year it might be 85+-2…..all the best guys
Respected AKRITI mam, Final cut off for part 1 will be decided state wise or zone wise or a single cutoff for a candidate throughout INDIA?
Mam 2014 me SSC MTS MPR reason me kitni jagah thi
They are as per vacancies I think. Once the exam is over, I feel Mockbank will modify.
