SSC JE Exam Pattern: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released Recruitment Notification for SSC Junior Engineer JE Posts. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has given a notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineer vacancies.
Staff Selection Commission has released SSC JE recruitment 2020 notification for total multiple vacancies of Junior Engineer (JE). The online application for SSC JE recruitment 2020 will start from 1st October 2020 at the regional sites of SSC. 30th October 2020 is the last date of Staff Selection Commission JE online application form.
The exam takes place in 2 phases for all the three branches. Applicants appearing for the exam must have a clear knowledge of the SSC JE Exam Pattern and SSC JE syllabus. SSC JE Exam Pattern 2020: Process of Selection
Let us have a quick overview of SSC JE Exam Pattern and Selection Procedure of SSC JE exam 2020.
As mentioned above, SSC JE exam involves two stages – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1: It will constitute 200 marks and is a Multiple Choice Questions based paper. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate.
Paper 2: It will constitute 300 marks and is a Multiple Choice Questions based paper. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate.
According to the SSC JE Exam Pattern, candidates appearing for the post of JE (civil), JE (quantity surveying & contract) must attempt Part A (civil & structural) of paper I & II.
On the other hand, candidates appearing for JE (electrical) need to attempt Part B (electrical) & the candidates appearing for JE (mechanical) must attempt Part C (mechanical) of Paper I & II.

Important Points To Remember Regarding SSC JE Exam Pattern For Paper 1
- General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Awareness sections will be common for all the three streams.
- In General Engineering section, candidates have to attempt the sections as per their branches.
- Candidates have to complete Paper 1 in 2 hours or 120 minutes.
- 0.25 % marks will be deducted for every wrong attempt.
- 1 mark will be given for each right attempt.
- If the candidate does not attempt the General Engineering section as per the instructions are given in Paper 1, then his answer sheet will not be evaluated by the board.

Important Points To Remember Regarding SSC JE Exam Pattern For Paper 2
- There will be three parts in Paper 2 under General Engineering, and candidates have to attempt them as per their branch.
- If the candidates have attempted a part other then instructed then his answer sheet will not be evaluated by SSC.
- 0.25% negative marking will be applied to every wrong attempt.
B. Personality Test (Interview): SSC JE Exam Pettern
Personality test will be conducted for 100 marks. Only those candidates who secure at least the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as may be fixed by the Commission at its discretion, will be eligible to appear in the Interview.
SSC JE Final Selection
Candidates who will clear SSC JE Paper I in SSC JE exam will be called for SSC JE Paper II. The final selection will be based on the cumulative or total marks scored in both Paper I and Paper II. Posting will be given to the candidate on the basis of merit and preferences entered by them during SSC JE application form filling.

(ii) Marks in Paper-II.
(iii) Marks in Paper-I.
(iv) Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher.
(v) Alphabetical order in the first names of the candidates appear

SSC JE Answer Key 2019
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released SSC JE Answer Key for exam held on Sep 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27. The answer key is released online, on ssc.nic.in. It is released via login and to download it user id and password. Candidates can also submit online objections against the answer key of SSC Junior Engineer 2019 by paying Rs.100 per question till October 17, 2019.
