SSC CHSL Exam Analysis


SSC CHSL Exam started on 1st November. Till now, two shifts of the exam have happened and multiple shifts are left. The next shift of exam is scheduled on 15 November.

Below is the section-wise analysis of SSC CHSL Exam that was conducted on 1st November and you can see expected cut-offs below the post.

Exam Pattern
There are 200 Questions in the paper, each containing 1 mark.

  • General Intelligence (50 Questions, 50 Marks)
  • General Awareness (50 Questions, 50 Marks)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions, 50 Marks)
  • English Language (50 Questions, 50 Marks)

Negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

Overall, the exam was easy to moderate. A good number of attempts in the exam were 130 – 145.

General Intelligence
Overall : Easy to moderate
Good Attempts : 31-40

Questions were asked from topics such as Classification/ Odd pair, Series Completion/ Analogy, Blood Relations ,Direction  Sense Test ,Logical Venn Diagram, Alphabet test, Classification ,Mirror Images , Water Images ,Embedded Figures, Completion of Incomplete Pattern ,Figure Matrix , Paper Folding , Paper Cutting , Cubes and Dice etc

Quantitative Aptitude
Overall : Moderate
Good Attempts : 25-30

Overall, the QA section was easy to moderate and a good number of attempts in this section were 30-35. Topics from which the questions were asked Simplification. Ratio and proportion,Average, SI/CI , Profit & Loss, Problems on trains, Time and work , Geometry, Area and Perimeter , Volume and Surface Area, Trigonometry, Height and Distance , Percentage ,Mixture and allegations, Pipes and cisterns etc

DI : Pie Chart and Bar Graph


Overall : Moderate
Good Attempt : 33-38 questions.

General Awareness:
Overall, the GA section was easy to moderate and a well prepared candidate could attempt 25-30 questions. The questions in this section were from the topics like World Organisations, Dates and Days, Books and authors, Census, Science and Technology, RBI , History, Biology etc
