SSC CGL Result 2020 – SSC CGL Marks & Scorecard Out!

SSC CGL Tier 1 Marks 2020: SSC CGL 2019-20 Tier-1 Marks/ Scorecard of all candidates (qualified/non-qualified) and Final Answer Keys along with the Question Paper(s) in a standard format has been released by SSC on 7th July, 2020 on the Commission’s website – Candidates may check their marks / scorecard from 7th July to 6th August 2020 by using his/her Registration No./ Roll No. and Registered Password.

One of the most popular exam in India, SSC CGL has been conducted from 3rd March to 9th March, 2020 at various centers across India to recruit 8582 Vacancies of Group B and C posts. A total of 9,78,103 candidates appeared in the tier-1 examination, out of which 125279 candidates have qualified for the Tier 2 exam which will be conducted from 12th to 15th October 2020. The Result with cut-off marks for CGL Tier-1 exam had already been released on 1st July, 2020.

On 14th April 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an extension of the nationwide lockdown till May 3 to tackle the spread of novel coronavirus. Due to this lockdown, the Commission will not able to declare the Tier-1 result of SSC CGL. The result will be released once the lockdown period is over.

SSC CGL Exam Selection Process

SSC CGL exam is conducted in four stages as tabulated below:

How to calculate SSC CGL Result for Tier 1: The score of the exam will be all based on the number of question candidate will attempt. For each correct answer, 1 mark will be allotted and for each wrong answer 0.5 marks (1/2) will be deducted as per the marking scheme of the exam. The marks will be allotted or deducted from the total of 200 scores.


The candidates who have been shortlisted will be eligible to appear for Tier 3 descriptive paper, data entry skill test, computer proficiency test, and document verification.

SSC CGL Result 2020 of Tier 3

The result of SSC CGL Tier 3 will be declared in January 2020. The exam of which will be conducted on 29th December 2019. The descriptive test of SSC CGL will be conducted for total 100 marks. Candidates are required to minimum qualifying marks of 33 % out of 100. Candidates need to qualify the test to be shortlisted for Tier 4 exam.

SSC CGL Result 2020 of Tier 4

The SSC CGL Tier 4 result will be declared in February/March 2020. The Tier 4 exam will be conducted on February 2020. Tier 4 will be held for the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax), Assistant Section Officer of CSS Assistant Section Officer (MEA) and Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) and Assistant (GSI). This Tier is qualifying in nature.

Key points of SSC CGL Result 2020

  • The final result of SSC CGL 2020 will be declared based on the overall performance of candidates in Tier 1, 2 and 3.
  • Candidates need to qualify in all the tiers separately.
  • There will be no sectional cutoff marks.
  • The commission will draw an All India Merit list for each category of post.
  • Candidates who are found by the commission to have qualified the examination shall be recommended for appointment in each category of post.
  • Tier-I examination is used to screen the candidates for appearing in Tier-II examination for various papers.
  • Marks of such screened candidates in Tier-I will be taken into account for final ranking of candidates for selecting them for the Computer Proficiency Tests/ Data Entry Skill Test and also for final selection.
  • The merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in the written examination and post preferences.
