Seating Arrangement – Reasoning
Different types of sitting arrangements have seen earlier. Now this is another model of sitting arrangement i.e., three bench seating, three car seating etc. These type of seating arrangement can be very important in all Banking such as SBI Clerk, SBI PO, IBPS PO, Specialist officers and in Insurance Grade B officers, Assistants etc. From this section at least 5 questions will come for sure. In almost all bank exams ,under reasoning section, there will be at least 3-5 questions from ‘seating arrangements‘.These questions are a bit time consuming. Especially in bank PO (probationary officer) exams ,seating arrangement questions will be little tricky and confusing.While solving these questions you need to apply 100% of your concentration.Otherwise it can steal away your precious time.

How to Solve Sitting Arrangement Questions
A Solved Example
P, Q, R, S and T are sitting on a bench. P is sitting next to Q, R is sitting next to S, S is not sitting with T who is on the left end of the bench. R is on the second position from the right. P is to the right of Q and T. P and R are sitting together. In which position P is sitting ?
Solution:
Step 1: Here in this question specific statements are-
1. “S is not sitting with T who is on the left end of the bench”,because from this statement it is clear that T is sitting at left end.
2.And second specific statement “R is on the second position from the right”
Step2:To proceed further combine statement “P is sitting next to Q” and “P and R are sitting together”
Step3:Now only one position is vacant.Place remaining person there.
Step4:Verify whether all statements are satisfied in the diagram drawn.
Answer: P is sitting in the middle
