Preparation Tips for SBI Specialist Deputy Manager (Law)

    1. Except for Professional Knowledge section, the other 2 sections will be only qualifying in nature and their marks will not be utilized for arriving at the Merit List. What this means is you are only required to clear the sectional cutoff of Reasoning and English . So YOU SHOULD FOCUS ONLY ON SCORING MAXIMUM MARKS IN PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE (Part II )section.
    2. There are different time duration for Professional and other sections. This means you cannot jump between other and professional section according to your will.  You will have to finish the Part I and only after 90 minutes are complete you will be able to attempt Part II.(Professional Knowledge)
    3. Keep your cool in the first 90 minutes. Solve 15-20 questions every section of Part I  and aim for 90-100% accuracy. Remember not to attempt too many questions and try to prove yourself a ‘know it all’. It will only make you lethargic. So keep your mind fresh for the Professional section.
    4. Start the Professional section with full vigor. Make sure that you go through the entire question set, so as to not leave any easy question unanswered.
    5.  Legal questions are lengthy. Add to that the fact that you have to solve 50 questions in 45 minutes. This means you get an average of 54 seconds to read and answer the question. Improve your reading speed to overcome the time constraint. Click here see what is the optimum reading speed for exams and how to increase your reading speed.
    6. Answer questions that you are entirely certain of (90-100%) accuracy. Do not waste time on questions you feel there might be an ambiguity in the answer.
    7. After you are done answering the above kind of questions, check your attempts. If you have managed to attempt 30-40% questions, take a sigh of relief and go for solving another 30% questions. In these questions aim for 70-80% accuracy.
    8. If you follow the above strategy, you can be sure to clear Professional section of SBI Specialist Deputy Manager (Law).
    9. For all those who cannot help but prepare for Part I, read on.
    10. You do not need to master these sections.
    11. Solve previous year PO papers to get an idea about the kind of questions asked in English and Reasoning.
    12. No matter whether you are the most fluent English Speaker, or the best reasoning master. DO NOT WASTE TIME SOLVING ALL QUESTIONS IN EITHER OF THE 2 SECTIONS. Attempt only 15-20 questions per section with 90-100% accuracy.
    13. Focus on the topics given below for solving and attempting.
    14. Reasoning
      1. Sitting arrangement
      2. blood relation
      3. coding-decoding
