Railway Group D Exam Pattern 2018
|The RRC Group D selection will be based on 3 stages as follows:
1. Computer Based Test – Railway Group D Exam Pattern
The CBT will be the first stage of selection that will be based on the following pattern:

- There is negative marking for each incorrect answer.
- 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for wrong answer.
- The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices.
- Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories are:
UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -30%.
English is the default language: In case the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected in addition to the below list. In case of any difference between English and the opted language, the content of English version shall prevail.

2. Physical Efficiency Test – Railway Group D Exam Pattern
If you qualify the CBT then you will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test which following will be of the pattern:

for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in
one chance without putting the weight down
|Should be able to run for a distance of 1000
metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one
|Should be able to run for a distance of 1000
metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one
Note: The persons with disabilities as specified in Para 11.0 are exempted from appearing for PET. However, after qualifying in the CBT, such candidates will have to pass the medical examination prescribed for Persons with Disabilities.
3. Document Verification – Railway Group D Exam Pattern
- Based on your performance in the CBT subject to your qualifying in PET, you will be called for document verification.
- Thereafter, the final selection will be made.
