Well, this is something which was the most talked about topic of 2016 regarding the government jobs.A lot of debate and discussion eas going on this topic both inside and iutside the givernment after our PM, in his last year’s address on Independence Day stressed over the need of ending the ongoing practice of conducting interviews for the group III and IV level government jobs, the reason being no manadataory requirement of personality assessment.Recently the Personnel Ministry has released a report which has cleared all the doubts.

According to this report which has been released by the Personnel Ministry all the stats have to end the practice of holding interviews for Class III and IV government jobs.
As per the personnel Ministry, this decision to discontinue the interviews for all junior- level posts throughout the country is going to be a major step towards achieving the citizen-centric transparent governance’s objectives.
This process will be done in a phase wise manner. Some states has already been agreed while other s are yet to decide on it.
States that have Agreed on the Report
Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat,Telangana, Punjab Uttarakh, Manipur and Puducherry are among the 18 states and Union territorieshave already taken steps to end this practice of holding interviews for Class III and IV government jobs on the Centre’s suggestion.
In Uttar Pradesh, there is no more interview for teachers. Also in Uttarakhand (which is now under the Central rule) has abolished interviews for the group C and B (non gazetted) posts. In addition to that, the Government of Gujarat has also informed the Persoinnel Ministry that they have implemented the policy of cancellation of interview in the recruitment on lower-level posts
Well this is just the begining as Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Jharkhand are also taking necessary steps to implement the Centre’s initiative launched with effect from this year.
States that are yet to agree on the Report
Few states are still to take any decision on this. These are BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Also AAP led Delhi government is also in a the list for detailing efforts to implement this initiative.
