The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organisation of the Government of Indiathat was established on 1 September 1961 as a literary, scientific and charitable Society under the Societies’ Registration Act (Act XXI of 1860). Its headquarters are located at Sri Aurbindo Marg in New Delhi. Dr Hrushikesh Senapathy has been director of the council since September 2015. NCERT assists and advises the central and state governments on academic matters related to school education.

NCERT Admit Card Written Test For Assistant Headmaster

NCERT Admit Card Written Test For Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts
|Part I – This section to have a total of 40 multiple choice questions for 40 Marks in English and Hindi subjects carrying 20 marks each.|
|Part II – This part to have 160 multiple choice questions of 1 mark is given for each. The questions comprising Current Affairs (20), Reasoning and Numerical Ability (20 Marks), Teaching Methodology (20 Marks) and the subjects concerned (100 Marks) questions (The syllabus for the subject concerned shall be shown on NCERT website before the examination).
The timing for the written test will be of 03 hours. The Part II of the aspirant will be checked only if he/she clears Part I by securing at least 5 marks each in English & Hindi subjects and 13 marks in aggregate.
The First Part of the written test has the qualifying nature. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained by the candidate in Part II o the written exam and interview. The weight age of the written examination (Part II) and personal interview will be 70:30.
NCERT Admit Card Written Test For NCERT Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) & Primary Teacher (PRT)
|Part I – This section carries the questions from Hindi (15 Questions) and English (15 Questions). These 30 Multiple Choice Questions to have One Mark each.|
|Part II – This one is hard from the first section. There shall be 120 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each comprising of current affairs (40 Marks), Reasoning Ability (40 Marks) and Teaching Methodology (40 Marks).
The written test for TGTs and PRT posts to have the duration of 2 Hours 30 Minutes each. Same as PGT posts, the second part of the exam will be checked only if the candidate qualifies in the first part. The minimum qualifying marks for Part I are 4 Marks for English, 4 Marks for Hindi and overall 10 Marks in aggregate.
|Interview: Candidate’s performance in the interview & second part of the written test will decide the final selection list. The weight age of the written examination (Part II) and personal interview will be 70:30.|
NCERT Admit Card Written Test For NCERT Paper Pattern For Work Experience Teacher (WET) posts
|Part I – This one to have 40 multiple choice questions coming from the subjects English and Hindi. The questions to have 1 mark each.|
|Part II – This section to have 160 multiple choice questions weighing 1 mark each. Questions to be asked from Current Affairs (30 Marks), Reasoning and Numerical Ability (30 Marks) and concerned subject (100 Marks).
This test to have the timing of 3 Hours. The cut off to clear the Part I is 5 marks each in English & Hindi subjects while 13 marks in aggregate.
|Interview: The selection shall be made on the basis of the performance of the aspirant in the written test (Part II) and interview. The weight age of written exam (Part 2) and the interview will be 70:30.|

|The timings of the exam will be mentioned on the admit card and candidates should ensure to reach the exam center at least 90 minutes prior to exam time.|
|Candidates are forbidden from carrying any type of preparation material, calculator, writing material, log table and watches inside the exam hall. Candidates will be allowed only their admit card and blue/black ball point pen along with them.|
|Candidates reaching the exam center after the examination has started will not be allowed to appear for the examination.|
|Candidates should carry a valid photo identity proof along with NCERT Admit Card 2017 to the exam center and if a candidate fails to produce either of the documents, he/she will not be allowed to appear for the exam.|
|The question booklet will be distributed amongst the candidates at least 10 minutes before the exam and candidates can open the seal five minutes prior to the commencement of exam.|
|All the candidates taking the exam will have to sit for the complete duration of exam and will not be allowed to leave the room till the exam gets over.|
|Candidates will be frisked upon their entry to the exam center and their admit cards will also be checked once at the gate and second time by the invigilator in the exam hall.|
