Let us show you how easy it is to multiply any numbers using Vedic Mathematic trick. Using this trick one can solve multiplication problems in matter of seconds. Here is how it works,

To apply the trick we would use the base of 10, 100, 1000, etc. and calculate as explained below.

**Example 1: 9 x 7 =?**

Step 1: 9 is close to base 10. So, 9 is 1 less than 10.

Step 2: Similarly, 7 is closed to base 10. So, 7 is 3 less than 10.

Step 3: Then divide the result into two parts, first is the sum of the numbers and second is a product of the numbers.

Step 4: Now,we will add the numbers derived from both Step 1 & 2, diagonally. This is how it will work: 9+(-3) =9-3=6 and 7+(-1)=7-1=6. Please check the image below for a pictorial representation of this step.

Step 5: Now we will multiply the numbers derived from both Step 1 & 2. This is how it will work: (-1) x (-3) =3. Please check the image below for pictorial representation of this step.

Step 6: Finally, write the numbers derived from both step 4 & 5, next to each other. So in this example, it will be 63.

Let’s apply this trick with bigger number.

**Example 2: 98 x 97 =?**

Step 1: 98 is close to base 100. So, 98 is 2 less than 100.

Step 2: Similarly, 97 is closed to base 100. So, 97 is 3 less than 100.

Step 3: Then divide the result into two parts, first is the sum of the numbers and second is a product of the numbers.

Step 4: Now,we will add the numbers derived from both Step 1 & 2, diagonally. This is how it will work:98+(-3) =98-3=95 and 97+(-2)=97-2=95. Please check the image below for pictorial representation of this step.

Step 5: Now we will multiply the numbers derived from both Step 1 & 2. This is how it will work:(-2)x(-3) =6. Please check the image below for a pictorial representation of this step.

Step 6: Finally, write the numbers derived from both step 4 & 5, next to each other. So in this example it will be 9506.

Note: These number is close to base 100, So, If we get a single number then we can write with 0, like 06.
