LIC AAO Exam Pattern 2020 – Prelims (Phase I)
The LIC AAO Prelims has three sections, each consisting of objective questions of Multiple Choice Type. The exam will be conducted in the online mode. The three sections, number of questions in each section, marking scheme, and time duration of LIC AAO Prelims are tabulated below:

LIC AAO Exam Pattern: LIC AAO Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates, who qualify in the Online Test, will be called for Personal Interview round. Usually, the number of candidates called for this round is three times the number of vacancies available for the post of LIC AAO in various branches of the organization across the country. The Interview is conducted for 30 marks. For SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks is 27 whereas, for candidates belonging to other categories, the minimum qualifying marks is 30.
LIC AAO Exam Pattern: LIC AAO Final Selection
Final selection will be made based on merit, that is, based on the marks secured by the candidates in the Main exam and Personal Interview. In the case of two or more candidates securing the same aggregate marks, the candidate with higher educational qualification will be given preference. If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age will be given preference.
Selected candidates will first have to undergo a Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination as well as Document Verification. If they are found medically fit and their documents are found in order, they will appointed as Assistant Administrative Officers (AAOs).

LIC AAO Exam 2020 – Salary Detail
Applicants applying for the posts of “Assistant Administrative Officer” in LIC AAO 2020 will be receiving approximately the monthly emolument of Rs.57, 000 /- (inclusive of House Rent Allowance & City Compensatory Allowance).
Emoluments and Benefits: Basic pay of Rs. 32795/- per month in the scale of Rs. 32795- 1610(14) –55335– 1745(4) –62315 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance etc wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximately Rs 57,000/- per month in ‘A’ Class city. Other benefits are Defined Contributory Pension, Gratuity, LTC, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance , Vehicle Loan (2-wheeler/4 wheeler) as per rules, meal coupon, reimbursement of cost of Brief case/leather bags, mobile handset, supply of dailies and magazines and tea/coffee, mobile expenses, etc.as per rules. Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Administrative Officers (Chartered Accountant) with two years post qualification work experience on the date of eligibility are eligible for two advance increments.
