What is the Importance of Karnataka TET Admit Card ?

  • You are expected to carry with you, on the day of the exam,  the Karnataka TET Admit Card
  • Without a printout of the Karnataka TET Admit Card, you will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.
  • Kindly keep the Karnataka TET Admit Card with you till the end of the exam and also for all future references (because it will contain your exam roll no.)

Q1. When can I download Karnataka TET Admit Card ?

A1. You can download your Admit Card between the dates prescribed on the official website only.

Q2. What if I don’t download my Admit Card ?

A2. In that case you will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Q3. Do I need to keep a printout of the Admit Card ?

A3. Yes. You need it for the exam as well as afterwards for all future references.

Q4. While taking a printout, do I need to get a coloured copy of the Admit Card, ?

A4. No. You can take a black and white copy of the Admit Card .

Q5. Can the  Karnataka TET Admit Card be used for all posts of of teaching under Government of Karnataka?

A5. No. It is useful only for TET Examination.

Q6. What if I’m unable to download my Admit Card ?

A6. It means you’re not entering the correct credentials. Try again.

Q7. What if I’m unable to download my Admit Card, even after entering correct credentials ?

A7. Don’t worry in that case. It’s just indicative of two things – Either the internet connection is slow or the server of the website is down.

Karnataka TET Exam Pattern

The written exam will be of objective type, and there will be two papers. Paper I is for candidates looking to be primary teachers. Paper II is for High School teacher aspirants. The paper I includes child development and pedagogy, Language I, II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Each section will carry 50 marks. Full mark of the exam is 150.

Paper II will contain 60 marks of mathematics for math/ science candidates and 60 marks of social science for applicants of social studies along with child development, the language I and II. Candidates need to get well prepared according to the exam pattern and syllabus of the test to do well in the competitive test.

  • Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage – Paper-I
  • Teacher for Classes VI- VIII: Elementary Stage – Paper – II
  • Teacher for Classes I – VIII: Elementary Stage – Paper – I and II

Assortment Process

Association will hold written test for appointment and entire classification of contestants for teaching posts will be done through qualifying marks in Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test followed by other process.

Educational Qualification Details

For Class I to V Teachers

Candidates must have HSC passing certificate with minimum 50% marks and must have or appearing in the final year Diploma in Elementary Education or must have completed B.El.Ed or appearing in the 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education

For Class VI to VIII Teachers

Candidates must have BA/BSc Graduation and completed or appearing 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or must have completed or appearing in the  Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
