UPSC IFS Mains Previous Year Papers
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) once every year conducts exam for Indian Forest Services (IFS). Candidates selected through IFS exam are appointed as IFS officer of either State cadre or Joint cadre i.e. State and Centre. The main responsibility of an IFS officer is to implement plans and programmes under The National Forest Policy. An IFS officer work as an administrative head of the forest region they are posted. It is a respectful position and candidates have to face tough competition for clearing the exam.

Candidates have to undergo 3 stages to become an IFS officer. They are:
- IFS Preliminary Exam
- IFS Mains Exam
- Interview or Personality Test

- Each optional subject will have 2 papers in IFS Mains exam
