|Council for The Indian Certificate Examinations (CISE) is a well known and famous board. It conducts ICSE 10th and 12th board examinations for all sates in India every year.
ICSE was established on 3rd Nov 1958. The main headquarter of this board is located in Delhi. The board provides textbooks and syllabus for all streams. There are many schools, which are affiliated by this board.
In 1952, an all Indian Certificate Examination Conference was held under the Chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Minister of Education. The main purpose of the conference was to consider the replacement of the overseas Cambridge School Certificate Examination by all Indian Examination. This set the agenda for the establishment of the council.
The council for the Indian School Certificates Examinations conducts three examinations, namely, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE- Class -X). The Indian School Certificate (ISC- Class XII) and the Certificate in Vocational Education (CVE-Year 12).
