IBPS Specialist Officers Exam Pattern Details: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Recruitment Process (CWE) for the recruitment of Specialist Officers in various cadres like IT, Agriculture, Legal, Marketing, HR and Rashtrabhasha Adhikari etc in various Public Sector Banks. The IBPS SO Exam Pattern has been changed and Sectional timing has been introduced in Prelims from this year. The Selection procedure consists of three stages namely, Prelims, Mains & Interview. IBPS SO Exam Pattern: The exam pattern for Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari is same and the exam pattern for IT Officer Scale I, Agricultural Officer Scale I, HR/ Personnel Officer Scale I, Marketing Officer Scale I is same. Penalty for Wrong Answers for IBPS SO Exam
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question |
Cutoff Score: (Online Main Examination)
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in the test of Online Main examination and also secure sufficiently high scores to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online Main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview. |
Scores for IBPS SO Exam
The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method.
Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations. |
C. Interview: IBPS SO Exam Pattern
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Main examination for CRP SPL-VII will subsequently be called for an Interview. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates). Candidate should qualify both in the Online CWE (Main Examination) and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process. |
Final Selection Process
The final merit list is prepared on the basis of total scores obtained in written test + Interview. The weightage of Online test and interview will is 80:20. For being selected as a Specialist Officer in the public sector bank you have to qualify in both exam – Written online exam as well as Interview and must score high in the merit list. |
