IBPS PO Exam Analysis Slot 2

The Prelim Exam consisted of 3 sections which were spread over English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude.  The duration of the exam was one hour which carried 100 marks.

IBPS PO Exam Analysis Slot 2 2016 – October 23rd

li>LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY – MODERATE
  • DOABLE QUESTIONS- ALL
  • TIME LAG – YES (Candidates who manage their time well will have an overall advantage. The time saved in Quantitative Aptitude section can be used for solving RC passage in the English section)
  • SURPRISES – The English section was slightly more challenging than from the exam held on Oct 22nd and Oct 16th. An edge over English is surely expected.

    Quantitative Aptitude

    Level : Easy

    Type of Questions 

    • Quadratic Equations – 5
    • Series – 5
    • DI – 10
    • Approximation – 5
    • Numeric Ability (Various Topics) – 10

    The Numeric ability was of moderate level. The rest of the questions were easy this year.

    English Language 

    Level : Difficult

    Type of Questions 

    • Reading Comprehension – 8
    • Cloze Passage – 7
    • Para Jumbles – 5
    • Errors – 10

    Overall , the English section was complex this year. The RC passages were challenging testing the grip of the student on vocabulary and basic understanding of the English language.

    Reasoning Ability

    Level – Moderate

    Type of Questions 

    • Inequalities – 5
    • Syllogism – 5
    • Sitting Arrangement – 10
    • Puzzles – 10
    • Miscellaneous Topics – 5

    Reasoning Ability was moderate this year. No coding decoding questions were asked. Puzzles were easy to attempt.

    • Quantitative Aptitude –  10-12

  • SURPRISES – There was a slight change in the English Section in terms of the pattern. Also the level was difficult just like the Ist shift)
  • Overall level of the paper was not much different from the one held on Oct 16th.

    Reasoning Ability was easy this year. No coding decoding questions were asked. Puzzles were easy to attempt. Syllogism questions were very simple.

    am. Also, a grip over English section was a must in this slot as well. The overall level of Slot 2 was the same as slot 1.

      Is there any chance?? I am not sure in English….should I start for mains??

    5. See your attempt is good as in the number of questions. However the accuracy level puts you in the ‘maybe’ category. But don’t worry. Lets see how much does IBPS set the official cutoff.

    10. I don’t think it should be an issue. But just to guide you , here’s what you can do – If you get selected, that time during the verification you can show your Class 10th certificate as name proof. It’s the most authentic proof. Don’t worry.
