Free Civil Services coaching classes for Muslim graduates and post graduates

There is a good news for Muslim IAS aspirants as the Haj Committee will conduct free coaching classes for the Muslim graduates and post graduates who are willing to take the UPSC  Civil Services Examination

All you need to know about the selection process:

  • As many as 50 candidates will be selected on the basis of a written entrance test
  • The paper will be conducted on May 28 at six different centres
  • Applicants can download the prospectus 2016-17 from their website
  • The applicants can send their applications till May 10
  • Candidates will be called for a personality test and an interview at Haj Committee of India, Mumbai on July 16-17
  • Students have to submit a sum of Rs 5000 to avail the services
  • All in all, the students will get coaching for “IAS Prelim and IAS Main Examination besides Personality Test.”

Maharashtra Government is Offering Scholarships worth 10,000

The Maharashtra government passed the resolution to award UPSC aspirants with scholarships worth Rs 10000 to encourage the youth to join civil services. However, the eligible candidates for the scheme have to clear the preliminary exam within the last three years.

About the scholarship

The scholarship will be given to the candidates appearing for the Mains examination and it will continue till the interview. Apart from scholarship, the candidates will be given free coaching in different institutes in New Delhi.

Government Resolution, a quick look

The government resolution was announced on April 16 and the decision to this effect was taken in January.

According to the resolution, the candidates residing in Maharashtra with family of income less than one lakh per annum will be eligible for the scheme. However the candidates have to return the scholarship amount if they do not appear for the UPSC exam.

Decision of the Cabinet

However, the cabinet had early decided that a specially empowered committee headed by the additional chief secretary of the state planning department would scrutinize the applicants. The committee will also possess the powers to frame the guidelines and conditions to be followed to avail the scholarship.

Popular Private Coaching Institutes to Offer Free Coaching 

It is expected that the number of poor and meritorious candidates from the weaker sections for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will go up in the session 2016-17. The Government has qualified State for pre-examination training for UPSC civil services exam 2015-16 in reputed private coaching institutes.

Monthly Stipend: Rs 8,000

Course Fees: Rs 1.5 lakh – Rs 8,000 – Minimum of 7 months
Monthly Stipend: Rs 8,000
Duration of training: Minimum of 7 months

3. Brain Tree, Hyderabad
Course Fees: Rs 97,000
Monthly Stipend: Rs 6,000
Duration of training: Minimum of 7 months

4. Universal Coaching Centre, Bengaluru
Course Fees: Rs 70,000
Monthly Stipend: Rs 4,000 (outsiders), Rs 2000 (locals)
Duration of training: Minimum of 7 months

5. CMAS, Belagavi
Course Fees: Rs 50,000
Monthly Stipend: Rs 4,000 (outsiders), Rs 2000 (locals)
Duration of training: Minimum of 7 months
