
Exam Dates for SSC Stenographer: As per the SSC Steno Exam Date, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has conducted the Steno Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ exam from November 11 to 15, 2021. The SSC released the application form of SSC Stenographer Grade C & D on September 10, 2020. The last date to fill the online application form for the SSC Stenographer was November 4, 2020. The examination is usually held in two phases: Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Skill Test. Candidates who secure qualifying marks in the CBT—as decided by the commission—are selected for Skill Test.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of the SSC Steno Exam (CBT) has been laid out in the following table. The candidates are advised to keep themselves acquainted with the SSC Steno Syllabus:

The duration of CBT is 2 hours; 120 minutes is all candidates have got to complete the test. Also, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for attempting the question wrongly.
SSC Steno Skill Test Date
After conducting the CBT, the SSC will also announce the SSC Steno Skill Test Date on its portal. Those who successfully pass the SSC Steno test shall also be called for the Skill Test that will be conducted by the SSC keeping in line with the guidelines. The skill test is a qualifying test and, therefore, its marks will not be considered. The candidates will be dictated by the exam invigilators and the dictation shall go on continuously for ten minutes. The candidates will have to type the dictation at 100 words per minute (WPM) for Grade ‘C’; however, for Grade ‘D’, it will be 80 WPM.

SSC Stenographer Notification
The SSC announced the SSC Notification on its portal, i.e., ssc.nic.in, on September 10, 2020. The candidates interested in the recruitment downloaded the notice and read the same thoroughly to understand the eligibility criteria. Having satisfied the criteria, a large number of aspiring candidates registered for the recruitment before the deadline, i.e., November 4, 2020.

SSC Stenographer Admit Card
SSC Stenographer Admit Cards have been released region-wise on the official web portals of SSC (see table below). Thus, all aspirants need to download their admit cards for their respective regions by using their ‘Registration ID’ and ‘Date of Birth’. The admit cards are issued to the candidates by SSC only via the online mode. Please keep in mind that the SSC does not send any hard copy of the admit card by post.
