ESIC  has released admit cards for the post of UDC, MTS and Steno in the different ESIC Regions/Office. The Online Exam is scheduled to be held from 18th March, 2016 to 26th March, 2016.

Employee’s State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) which comes under Ministry of Labour and Empowerment Government of India, provides socio-economic protection to worker population and immediate dependent or family members covered under the scheme. It has invited online applications on www.esic.nic.in or www.umsesicrectt.in  for total of 3000 vacancies of Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Stenographer.

Salary of ESIC UDC, MTS and Steno

As a UDC, MTS and Steno in ESIC you will receive the following salary:

Eligibility for ESIC UDC, MTS and Steno

1. Age Criteria

  • For Stenographer: Between 18 to 27 years of age as on 06.01.2016.
  • For UDC: Between 18 to 27 years of age as on 06.01.2016.
  • For MTS: Between 18 to 25 years of age as on 06.01.2016

2. Age Relaxation 

  • 03 years for OBC
  • 05 years for SC/ST.
  • 10 years for PWD(additional 05 years in case of SC/ST & 03 years in case of OBC)

3. Essential Education Qualifications for ESIC UDC, MTS and Steno

 I. For the post of Stenographer:

  1. Higher Secondary pass (pass in 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized board)
  2. A speed of 80 words per minute in stenography in English/Hindi
  3. Working knowledge of Computer including use of Office Suites and databases.

II. For the post of Upper Division Clerk (UDC):

  1. Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
  2.  Working knowledge of Computer including use of office suites and Databases

III. For the post of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS):

  1. Matriculation or equivalent pass
Note- For all the above qualification Candidates who have not acquired/will not acquire the educational qualification as on the last date of receipt of application will not be eligible and need not apply.

Scheme/Pattern of ESIC Examination 

Scheme/Pattern of examination for STENOGRAPHER

The examination consisting of three parts as under:

Part I – Written Test

The written test will consist of one paper containing 02 subjects/sections as shown below

Note:-

  • The questions will be set in English and Hindi Language for Subject/Section (ii) i.e. General Awareness.
  • The maximum marks will be 200.
  • There will be negative marking at the rate of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Part II – Stenography Test 

Stenography test will be of Qualifying Nature for 10 minutes with a speed of 80 words per minute in English or Hindi and transcription of the same on computer for one hour.

Part III – Computer Skill Test

The candidates will have to appear for Computer Skill Test of Qualifying Nature either in English or in Hindi language. The Computer Skill Test shall comprise of following three parts:

  1. Part A: Preparation of two Power Point Presentations/Slides on MS-Power Point – 10 Marks.
  2. Part B: Typing a letter/passage/paragraph of about 150-200 words in MS-Word – 20 Marks.
  3. Part C: Preparation of Table/Database in MS-Excel – 20 Marks.

II. Scheme/Pattern of examination for UDC

The examination shall consist of following two parts as under:

a) The Qualifying Marks will be as under

b) The Qualifying Marks in Paper-I – will be 40% for Unreserved (UR) Category and 35% for Reserve Categories.

c) The category wise candidates will be shortlisted for Part II – Computer Skill Test in the above ratio purely on the basis of their performance in PART – I (Written Examination).

d) The Qualifying Marks in PART-II (Computer Skill Test) will be 17 Marks out of Total 50 Marks irrespective of marks obtained in each part.

III. Mode of Selection/ Selection Criteria for MTS

a) The Selection for the post of MTS will be made on the basis of Written Test only.

b) The Qualifying Marks in Paper-I – will be 40% for Unreserved (UR) Category and 35% for Reserve Categories.

  5. The candidates are advised to submit ONLY SINGLE ONLINE APPLICATION. However, if somehow, he/she
    submits multiple online applications, then he/she must ensure that online application with the higher “Application Number” is complete in all respects including fee/intimation and bank charges.

  6. Sir can u pls tell me how to calculate the marks of esic. Suppose i got 95 and i have 10 wrong. Den what will be my marks. Pls help

  7. Amit sir I ve scored 85.5 in esic udc according to question& answer posted in my id( Kolkata ) [ex serviceman ]. Is there any chance? Sir Please tell me is there any sectional cut off in esic UDC. Becoz my English section marks is very less.
