The Government of India launched an initiative called as “e-pathshala” initiative.
What is E PathShala
As a part of this “e-paathshala” initiative, the textbooks will be available online for free.So even if you are finding it difficult to procure NCERT textbooks, then no worries, your preparation will not be hampered.Download it online from e Pathhshala and continue with your preparation
- You just have to go on the website of E pathshala which is www.epathshala.nic.in
- On the left hand side you will see the menu. Click on E Pathshala. A drop down menu will open.
- In this menu, click on Student. A new page will open.
- On this page you will see a link eTEXTBOOK. Click on that link. The download page will open
- On that page, select the Class, Subject and Title and click on Go button.
- The book will open. Read or download it.

Offline Sales Counter
If you are thinking that you will not be able to purchase the textbooks, then also you are wrong as the offline supply of books is also likely to increase.
The reason being that The HRD Ministry has also given copyrights to more than 8 state governments to print books so that there is no scarcity of these textbooks in their States.The government has also decided to put its own sales counter in Ajmer, Bhopal, Shillong, Bhubaneswar, Mysore, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Guwahati and New Delhi, from where these books can be purchased.
