CTET 2017 recruitment is being anticipated by aspirants across the country. CTET 2017 examination will be attempted by candidates who are interested to make teaching as their preferred career choice. The craze among candidates in increasing day by day for CTET examination. CBSE conducts CTET each year for selecting the best minds to enter the field of teaching and inspire budding youngsters. Certain states conduct their separate TET exams as well but their mode of selection is done independently of CTET. Through CTET 2017, selection of candidates will be made on PAN India basis.

CTET 2017 recruitment did not release yet on its official website but on official website, CTET released notification for interested candidates in which CTET mentioned that few unauthorized website created fake recruitment and mentioned that vacancies will be released on June 10th. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2017) to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. This year the expected date of CTET 2017 recruitment is June 10th.

CTET 2017: Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage

One of the following conditions has to be fulfilled by CTET 2017 aspirants –

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

One of the following conditions has to be fulfilled by CTET 2017 aspirants –

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Special Concession of Marks Provided

Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.

CTET 2017 Exam Pattern

All questions in CTET 2017 will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct.

Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.

There will be two papers of CTET.
Paper IFor a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
Paper IIfor a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

A person who intents to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

CTET 2017 Exam: Copy of Answer Sheet

The OMR sheet and the Answer Key of CTET examination will be displayed on CTET official website for which a public notice will be issued in all leading newspapers. The Candidates can download the same in the given stipulated time. Thereafter the Candidates can also seek a photocopy of their OMR Sheet of CTET by paying fee of Rs.500/- per OMR, by way of Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education drawn on any Nationalized Bank and payable at Delhi.

CTET 2017 Exam: Applicability

1. Schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.
2. Unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
3. Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.
