CLAT Result 2020: The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) will on Monday declare the results of CLAT 2020 on its official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates who have appeared in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2020) will be able to download their results online by logging on to the result page of the website.

CNLU conducted CLAT 2020 on September 28 at 300 examination centre across the country, for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes in participating institutions.

CLAT 2020 was originally scheduled for May 10 but was postponed till May 24 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The exams got further delayed until June 21 and was again rescheduled to August 22 and then to September 7. The exam was finally conducted on September 28.

According to a notice issued by CNLU, the CLAT counselling or admission process will begin from October 9 to 15 for which the registration process will open from October 6 to 7.

“Candidates will be asked to deposit Rs. 50,000/- as counselling fees which will be adjusted in the fee payable to the University,” reads the notice.

  3. Login using your mobile number and password

CLAT is one of the most popular law entrance examinations for seeking admissions to five-year integrated law programs (BA LLB, B.Com LLB, B.Sc LLB and BBA LLB) into National Law Universities (NLUs) recognized as participating institutes of Common Law Admission Test. About CLAT-2020

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a non-statutory body created under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the convenience of the students seeking admission to various National Law Universities in the country.

An entrance test is conducted to provide a list of candidates on the basis of ‘merit-cum-preference’ to each University for admission to their Under-Graduate (UG)/ Post-Graduate (PG) programs, as per the eligibility, reservation and other criteria laid down under the respective statutes of the participating Universities.

CLAT Result 2020

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), is an all India common entrance examination, conducted on rotational basis by 18 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their UG and PG degree programmes.

The 18 participating NLUs in the order of their year of establishment are:

The first CLAT Core Committee consisting of Vice-Chancellors of seven participating NLUs decided that a Common Entrance Test shall be conducted by all the participating Universities on rotational basis in the order of their year of establishment.

Accordingly, the first Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) was conducted in the year 2008. Presently there are 18 NLUs participating in CLAT and following the policy of rotation, the Tenth Common Law Admission Test (CLAT – 2020) shall be conducted by Chanakya National Law University, Patna.

Important Notice for MoU: CLAT Result

Chanakya National Law University will be conducting the Common Law Admission Test-2020 on 24 May 2020. Institutions willing to utilize the score/rank of CLAT either for the purposes of recruitment or admissions to their institutions are requested to contact Convenor, CLAT-2020.

  • Institutions willing to utilize the score/rank for recruitment purposes are required to pay Rs. 7,10,000/- through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Convenor, Implementation Committee, CLAT-2020, Patna and enter into MoU with the Convenor, CLAT-2020.
  • Institutions willing to utilize the score/rank for admission purposes are required to pay Rs. 1,60,000/- through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Convenor, Implementation Committee, CLAT-2020, Patna and enter into MoU with the Convenor, CLAT-2020.
  • Draft MoU can be obtained on request from the office of the Convenor, CLAT-2020 on email ID aialakshminath@gml.com.
  • This may please be done at the earliest preferably on or before nov 2020 so as to enable the Convenor, CLAT-2020 to take necessary steps for including those institutions and display their institutions in the CLAT-2020 Website.
