BOI Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria

Post Name Age Limit and Qualification Criteria
For Officer (Credit) Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years.

Education Qualification: A Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks along with MBA/ PGDBM/ PGBM/ PGDBA / Post-graduation degree in Commerce/ Science /Economics. OR Chartered Accountant / ICWA / Company Secretary.

For Manager Posts Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be minimum 23 years and maximum 35 years.

Education Qualification: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline A Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks along with MBA/PGDBM/ PGBM/ PGDBA / Post-graduation degree in Commerce/ Science /Economics. OR Chartered Accountant / ICWA / Company Secretary.

Experience: Minimum two years of experience as an Officer – in any Public Sector Bank OR in any Private Bank having minimum Business Mix of Rs.1 Lakh crore as on 31.3.2017

BOI Recruitment: Selection Process

Selection will be through online test and/or personal interview, depending on the number of applicants/eligible candidates.

BOI Recruitment: Exam Pattern

The structure of online examination will be as under:

The total duration of the exam is 2 hours.

The above tests except for the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, Such as English and Hindi. The test of English Language will be of qualifying nature i.e. Marks obtained in English Language will not be added while preparing merit List.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

Candidates are required to go to the Bank’s website www.bankofindia.co.in and click on the ‘CAREER’ and then click on the link “Recruitment of Officers in General Banking Stream – Project No. 2017-18/1 Notice dated 10.04.2017”. This will open a new window. In this window click on “APPLY ONLINE”.

Procedure to Apply Online:
1. Before applying online candidates should have valid email id & password
2. Then, Log on the website in www.bankofindia.co.in
3. Select the desired post & click on Apply Online or Registration
4. Read all instructions log in yourself
5. Fill all the required details & submit the form.
6. Now take a print out of online application for more use.

BOI Recruitment: Nationality/ Citizenship

A candidate must be either :-

  • a Citizen of India
  • a subject of Nepal

BOI Recruitment: Security Deposit Details

Selected candidates will be required to deposit a specified amount as security deposit refundable after 3 years of satisfactory service (the said amount shall be forfeited in case he/she leaves the Bank before completion of 3 years) as under:

BOI Recruitment: FAQs

Q.1: What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page? A.1: Speed for Registration of On-Line Application on Internet, is based on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the pages for registration immediately, please retry after a gap of 15 minutes or during off-peak hours during the night.
Q.2: How do I know that my application is registered? A.2: Successful Registration is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated “REGISTRATION NO.” and “PASSWORD”. Please note down the same carefully and preserve it. If you do not preserve it, you will not be able to Re-Print the Application and download the Call Letter
Q.3: How do I re-confirm that my application is saved? A.3: In case of doubt about the successful Registration, candidates are advised to visit the Page for Re-Print of Application, generate the Printout and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the Application.
Q.4: I got Blank / Zero Registration No. after submission of application on-line? A.4: In rare cases Candidates may get Zero (0) Registration No. with valid Password. Candidates are advised to Re-Register the Application and check the Printout through Re-Print Application.
Q.5: I did not receive the acknowledgment/ reply to my email communication? A.5: “Reply to” Email Id for the Application is created for the convenience of the Candidates for genuine communications. Please do not use this address to send back the emails for “Acknowledgment“, “Vacation Mail“, “Friendship Offers“, “Sales Offers” etc. Our Email Server is configured to delete such emails automatically.
Q.6: What details should I retain while replying to auto-response emails? A.6: While writing back by replying the confirmation emails for genuine problem, please retain the text containing “REGISTRATION NO.” and “PASSWORD” details on the email.
