Assam Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) Paper-I & Paper-II exam will be held on 10th November 2019 across 33 districts of Assam. The Department of Elementary Education is conducting the Assam TET exam after a gap of 7 years. The last Assam TET exam was conducted in the year 2012. The ATET 2020 exam will be held for Paper I and Paper II as per the norms of National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). The Paper-I is for Class I-V teachers and Paper-II is for Class VI-VIII teachers. Assam TET eligibility certificate is valid for 7 years from the date of announcement of result. Interested candidates can apply for the Assam Teachers Eligibility Test (ATET) till 19th January 2020

How To Download Assam TET Admit Card?

The admit card will be available on the official website of DEE under the TET tab. Candidates will need Application No./ Username and Password to download the admit card. Here is the process you will have to follow to download the admit card for Assam TET 2020:

1st Step: Go To the official website of Assam TET as per the link given above.

2nd Step: Click on the Teaching Eligibility Test tab on the main page.

3rd Step: Search for “Assam TET Admit Card 2020” link.

4th Step: Click on this link and fill the details of registration no./ Username and password.

5th Step: It will take you to the page that contains your admit card. Make sure that the details in the admit card are correct by all respects.Download the Assam TET admit card to your system and take a print out.

Assam TET Hall Ticket: Assam TET Exam Pattern

Candidates can check the exam pattern for Assam TET exam 2020 from below. The candidates who wish to be teacher for class I-V can appear for Paper-1. However, the candidate who intend to be a teacher for class VI-VIII can appear for Paper-2. Candidates can also apply for both papers in while filling the application form.

Language: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi and English.
Duration: Paper-1 and Paper-2: 150 minutes each.
No. of questions: Each paper will have 150 questions.
Type of Questions: MCQ type.
Marking Scheme: Every question will have 1 mark each. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Candidates who are appearing for Assam TET exam must be aware of the exam pattern. Refer to the following table for Assam TET Exam Pattern:

Assam TET Paper I (for Class I to V)

Candidates who have applied for the post of a teacher atr Lower Primary Level (Class I to V) have to appear for Assam TET Paper 1.

Candidates who have applied for the post of a teacher (Mathematics & Science or Social Science) at Upper Primary level (Class VI to VIII) will have to appear for Assam TET Paper 2.

The time duration of the exam is 150 minutes for both Paper-I and Paper-II.

Instructions for candidates

Following are the instructions that the candidate must keep in mind while appearing for Assam TET 2020 exam:

  • Physically Handicapped cndidates will be given additional 20 minutes per hour.
  • Calculator is not allowed in the exam hall.
  • Any communication device or electronicc device is not allowed inside the exam centre.
  • Eatable item should not be taken inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates must not take notes, papers or copies inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates are suggested to stay tuned with the official authority or with this website for regular updates.
  • Carry officially issued TET Assam Admit Card 2020 and other required documents on the day of the exam.
  • Reach the examination center on time.
  • Defend the admit card till the declaration of the Result.
  • Follow instructions printed on the hall ticket.
