Analysis of SBI PO Prelims

SBI PO Prelims exam started on 20th June. Below is the
section-wise analysis of the exam till 21st June. 
Overall, the exam was moderate. A good number of attempts in
the exam were 53 – 65.
Overall Recommendation:
  • Focus on accuracy. Because the paper is
    moderate, you may be able to do more questions than normal. However,
    it is more important to get more of them right. In QA and Reasoning,
    double check your solutions and be extremely vigilant. Simply by avoiding
    silly mistakes, you can push your accuracy in these 2 sections above 90%
  • Move on to next question
    if you are not able to solve/ recall the answer. Do not get stuck with one
    question. There are a lot of other questions which you can solve and
    score well. Good luck
Overall, the Reasoning section was easy to moderate. A good
number of attempts in the exam were 18-23. Topics from which the questions were
  • Coding: 3
  • Blood Relation: 2
  • Puzzle: 5
  • Direction Sense: 2
  • Inequalities: 5
  • Syllogism :5
  • Seating Arrangement :10
  • Miscellaneous
Numerical Ability:
Overall, the Numerical Ability section was
moderate to difficult and a good number of attempts in this section were
16-25. Topics from which the questions were asked:
  • Profit Loss, Time, Speed
    & Distance, Mixture, Age, Probability : 10
  • Series : 5
  • Simplification: 5
  • Quadratic Equations: 5
  • Data
    Interpretation: 10
Overall, the English section was easy and a well prepared candidate
could attempt 20-25 questions. Topics from which the questions were asked:
  • Reading Comprehension:
  • Jumble Sentences: 5
  • Spotting the error : 5
  • Cloze Passage: 5
  • Sentence Completion:
Confident of clearing the Prelims.
