IBPS Specialist Officers exam was conducted on 14th and 15th February, 2015. Below is the section-wise and stream-wise analysis of the exam.

Overall


Overall, the exam was moderate to tough. A good number of attempts in the exam were 120 – 130.

Reasoning: 

Overall, the Reasoning section was easy to moderate. A good number of attempts in the exam were 28-33. Topics from which the questions were asked included seating arrangement (circular/linear), syllogism, puzzles, input-output, inequalities. 


Quantitative Aptitude:

Overall, the QA section was easy to moderate and a good number of attempts in this section were 28-33. Topics from which the questions were asked included quadratic equations, data sufficiency, data interpretation and approximations. 


English:


Overall, the English section was easy to moderate and a well prepared candidate could attempt 25-30 questions. Topics from which the questions were asked included Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction, Cloze Test, Sentence Rearrangement.


Professional Knowledge:


Information Technology:

Overall the IT section was easy to moderate and a well prepared candidate could attempt 28-33 questions. Questions were majorly asked from DBMS, Networking, Software Engineering, Virus.

Agriculture:

Overall, the section was moderate to difficult and a well prepared candidate could attempt 22-28 questions. Questions were asked from seed rate, angle of plough and for data relating to the agriculture statistics in India.

Marketing:

Overall the sections was easy to moderate and a well prepared candidate could attempt 25-30 questions. Topics that were tested included marketing mix, customer segmentation, SEBI, Consumer behavior and perception, pricing, branding etc.

HR:
Overall the section was easy to moderate and a well prepared candidate could attempt 25-30 questions. Topics from which the questions were asked included basics of HR, policies and frameworks and Employee engagement activities.

Legal:
Overall the section was easy to moderate and a well prepared candidate could attempt 25-30 questions. Topics from which the questions were asked included legal framework in India, laws and acts, company acts and regulations and current legal changes.

General Awareness:
Overall, the section in IBPS SO (Legal) was moderate to difficult and a well prepared candidate could atempt 25-30 questions. Topics from which the questions were asked included banking terminologies and current affairs.
